Surprisingly, You should think of redesigning your website fairly
often. Actually more often than you might think. It is creating a
mind set and habit of consistently looking or thinking of ways to
improve your website and your message to your customers. At
Pyramid we know this is easier said than done.
Like the old joke of everyone having shoes but the cobbler's children, I would often use
that excuse in reference to the Pyramidmdt.com website. “Oh, I am just to busy working
on others clients websites to take the time to rebuild and refocus my site” It sure
sounded convincing to me, but clearly was not helping the business.
This gave me the impetus to look at the our business and how we market ourselves and
prepare for our site redesign.
Take a look at your website. Have you been ignoring it? Is your information current. Is
your website still in line with your company goals and direction?
Follow these tips to get your focus and website goals back on track and up to date.
1. Reevaluate your website every three months. Mark it on your calendar and make it a
habit to thoroughly examine your site and its goals and objectives.
2. How busy is your site? Are you using your site statistics to drive content and
customers to your service or store?
3. If it has been more than a year since you have made changes to your website, you
should start to think seriously about revamping your site.
4. When you decide to update your site, you need to rethink everything, including
content, navigation, graphic design, publishing procedures, the tools you use, and
even the site's goals and objectives.
5. Reexamine how your site fits your brand and marketing strategy. Does your site
strengthen your brands identity. Does it give visitors the right impression. Talking with
your web developer will take you a long way to understanding what changes will
provide the most value.
Good communication with your web designer, a review of your site stats, and an eye on
what your goals are for the site will be the best gauge for when you should pull the
trigger on a website redesign and how to freshen your marketing outlook for your
business. After following the above steps, we are proud to roll out our new website.
Note to all Pyramid clients: Be aware that who you see on your caller ID may not be who you think. A little known iphone app is able to “spoof” your caller ID by making it appear that the call was made from a different source such as your bank, police department, credit card company or any the fraudulent caller would like you to think.
Many people just trust that what they see on the caller ID and are more willing to give away sensitive information like credit card numbers, Social Security numbers and bank information. Attempts have been made to make spoofing illegal but protection is limited.
There is really only two ways to protect yourself, Restricting Incoming calls and verifying the callers identity. You can restrict your calls be saving a list of trusted numbers of companies that may call. You can also change your phone setting to only allow contacts from your contact list to ring through also if a message is left make sure the call back numbers match the message.
To verify a caller's identity ask for their contact information--first and last name, phone number, and extension--so that you can call back then contact customer service for the business or organization they say they are from and ask the representative if the callback number is valid for that business or organization. If it is not, do not return the call. Ask the caller to send you information by mail. If she refuses or claims that it is not possible to do so, explain that it is not possible for you to give them information by phone.
Identity theft is on the rise. Pay attention and don't believe everything you see on your caller ID.
Be Safe, Be Smart.
